Freedom Rides onto the Web
Robert Nekervis, a student at the Ohio State University and a proponent for civil liberties for all Americans, is currently preparing for a cross-country bike trip that he will undertake next year as a fund raiser and educator for the American Civil Liberties Union. Information about Freedom Ride is available at http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/3600/.
As you are probably aware, the ACLU has been a long-standing champion of gay rights and personal liberties in America. Understanding this, Nekervis thought you might consider it in your interest to support this endeavor. Here are some ways you can help out.
- Please spread the word. Tell friends, co-workers and neighbors about Freedom Ride. If they have access to the Internet give them the web address. Anything you can do to inform other civil libertarians about this cause would be most appreciated.
- In an effort to raise revenue, Nekervis is offering Freedom Ride T-shirts. You can help by downloading the order form found at this address http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/3600/tshirt.html Please distribute these to friends and family. Few people support our cause, even fewer make financial contributions to it. Ordering one of these handsome 17 dollar shirts would really make a difference. (A picture of the shirt will be on-line soon)
- We have a growing E-mail list of individuals on the Internet who support our cause. If you or anyone else you know has access to the Internet and an interest in the ACLU please tell them to write to firstname.lastname@example.org We would like to add their name to our list.
