June is traditionally when pride parades are held around the country to commemorate the Stonewall riots in New York City, the birth of the modern-day gay and lesbian civil rights movement. But pride can be achieved through various means, and considering the age of many Oasis readers, attending a pride event in a larger city might not be an option. So, several Oasis columnists wrote special articles on pride, and other writers wrote on the board game, music, films and movies that you can find in your area to make you feel better about your sexuality. So, find something that interests you, and either throw a mini pride party, if you have a few queer friends, or just do something on your own to connect to the larger community that does await you. But most of all, always know that you are not alone... Jeff.
