Goodbye to Berlin exhibit online
From March until August of 1997, Berlin was a gay and lesbian magnet of a special kind. In the exhibition-rooms of the Academy of Arts, the Gay Museum of Berlin presented a national and international exhibition.
It was dealing with gay and lesbian emancipation of the last hundred years and was titled "Goodbye to Berlin? - 100 years of gay movement." About 80,000 visitors came to watch the exhibition in Berlin.
After such a tremendous success the organizers decided to make the exhibition accessible to all people who weren't able to visit Berlin for this exhibition. So the exhibition may come to people in whose countries gay and lesbian lifestyle is still today pursued by law.
From 25 of October 1997 the exhibition will to be seen for another six month in the internet: http://www.gayactivism.com.
