Justin Lundsten

March 1998

I attended an old friend's funeral a short time ago. I bought a little red rose and a little card to go with it. On the card, I wrote a poem by Emily Dickinson:

If tolling bell I ask the cause.
'A soul has gone to God,'
I'm answered in a lonesome tone;
Is heaven then so sad?

That bells should joyful ring to tell
A soul has gone to heaven,
Would seem to me the proper way
A good news should be given.

Rest in peace Folke. God, I hate funerals.......
