Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans
-- John Lennon

OK, if everyone else gets to use quotes to start their columns, so can I. Last month I mentioned you would be seeing daily updates happen, and, of course, it hasn't yet happened. Time constraints as usual. Soon, I hope to implement this.

As of this month, Oasis is officially backing the National Day of Silence. For more information on this event, which happens in April, and its founders read this month's Profile in Courage, and for a column on why they oppose the National Day of Silence, check out Bill Roundy's column. I'm always in favor of a spirited debate about things.

In all of my recent craziness with my drive crash (all is better now, despite lost data), I forgot to mention something cool. Oasis is one of five nominees for an Interactive Media Award from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). The Interactive Media Award will be given April 4 in Washington DC. I'm trying to see if I can make it, and so far it's looking like I will attend a later GLAAD award dinner in Los Angeles.

The survey results are online. Go check them out now at http://www.oasismag.com/survey/. There are a lot of cool findings in there, which we will break out in future issues.

Well, that's all from me this month. Another great issue in store, so go check it out.
