May 1998

Hi, My name is Bryan. I am a 16 year old, bisexual sophomore in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is my debut column. I want to start writing in this so other teens when they read this know they are NOT the only ones, and if YOU need advice you can ask me because I am told I am a good advice giver.

I live in the suburbs of Milwaukee and my school is not very welcoming to the idea of someone being gay or bi. In the halls everyday at my high school, I hear the word "FAG" about a million times. Also, I hear jokes about gay people in just about every one of my classes.

Some information about me is that I am bisexual. My friends know, not everyone at school knows, but I know (BUT DON'T CARE) that SOME people at my school THINK I am gay. Also, my sister knows I am bisexual, and what is cool about that is she is bisexual as well.

I am not sure what else to say but if any of you teens out there need someone to talk to you can talk to me, just e mail me. Next month I will have more of an idea of what to write about.
