I know how frustrating coming out can be -- I came out about a year ago. Some of my fears about coming out were: unsureness of who I am, fear of what other people will say (mainly my parents and friends), fear of losing them, etc. Some consequences of these worries were denial, depression, mood swings, withdrawal, hiding and seclusion, etc.
At that time I didn't have anybody to whom I could turn to for help. I didn't know many things about what it is to be gay. Finally, now that I am out, I want to help other gay youth who may have questions about themselves when coming out. That's why I created the gay coming out page where I put actual diaries, chats, stories, and other writings about other people's coming out experiences including my own coming out diary. This page will answer many questions about the process of coming out through other people's words and actual experiences.
My page is located at http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Pines/9686/Gay/
Some info about me: My name is Denny, and I am a 19 year old sophomore at the University of Michigan. My major is Computer and Informational Sciences. I was raised in Russia, where gay is a taboo subject. I've been in the States 3 years now and I am still adapting to the culture change. The freedom to express myself here has made it easier to come out. I hope my page will be of great help to other frustrated gay youth.
