My so-called life

Going clubbing is cool--it's one of the most fun things in the whole world. And going to gay clubs, well that's just perfect. Almost. The problem is that the people who go to clubs to tend to be legal, i.e. over 18; and unfortunately they're not the people who I want to meet. I mean, I'm sure they're all very nice and everything, but I want to do what all "normal" teenagers do which is be with people they're attracted to who are the same age.

Maybe some people would say that the difference between 16 and 18 is pretty small, but it isn't. At 18, you're looking for something very different -- sex. I'm not. I want to be able to meet people who are the same age as me and want the same things as me. (and stubble is a major turn-off...!)

But how the HELL does anyone go about meeting people. It's hard for young gay people to meet and a search on the internet for gay youth groups resulted in a big dead end. There must be something out there, and if there isn't then surely someone will want to come in with me and help to get something going.

Come on young, gay, London. Is there something obvious I'm missing out on here?

I wanna know! Tell me at super.olly@virgin.net.
