Through the hardships that I have had, either telling my parents and friends about my sexuality or battling my depression. There is one thing I know, that one living creature has stood by my side this entire time with unbounding love and affection and that would be my dog, who's name is Shep. Without him, I don't think I would have been able to make it. I think I would have had a mental break down and possibly commited suicide. But he was there for me the entire time, showing me love and affection and always listening to my feelings as well as just being by my side.
I was sitting in my first meeting of the year of the GLBTQ support group at my school this morning.
We have alot of kids from 9th and 10th grades, especially, so the 11th and 12th graders and everyone are trying to figure out how we can get a manageable support group size so everyone can get their turn talking and getting help.
Now, last year, it was 9th grade and 10/11/12 by ourselves.
Now, people are offering ideas about "how about we do the gay boys, together, lesbians together, bi kids together, and questioning kids go wherever they think they go?"
Which is great.
For everyone else.
We've been moved to a new server, graciously hosted by Telementa.
It might take some time for the DNS entries to refresh for you to be able to see the site.
During the move I also upgraded the site to the latest version of Drupal, so if there are any issues that cropped in, please let us know about them.
Hi! My name is Becky and I am from the YES Institute in Miami, Florida. If you are from the area and are FTM wanting a safe space to discuss issues going on in your life (or know anyone that would benefit from this type of group), please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
I have started a petition to garner support for a protest at Westboro Babtist Church. I have started organizing the protest for April 2008. They are the ones who hold up signs saying "God Hates Fages". I would appreciate it if you could pass this info on to your group members. Thanks So Much!
I met Zoe when our GSA went to CSG for a field trip. We exchanged emails--i thought for sharing information, and went on our first date in a week. I barely got to the coffeshop where we were supposed to meet because of an odd variety of factors including robex, band, my friend jon, and mosaics.
If you read my journal entry a while ago you probably read that I was going to do this youth panel (go around to schools and talk about what its like to be gay) thing for Outright Vt a queer youth support thing. The catch was that I had to go to this training thing which I knew nobody and I suck at meeting new people so yeah I was freaking out.
Well I went yesterday and at first I was just yawning on the couch wondering what the fuck I was doing there. Then this girl started talking to me and then I started talking to other people and had a blast. Its so wierd thinking about how all 15 people that were in the room are queer. Its cool.
